Lawmakers Meet To Discuss Highway 278 Completion
Local legislators and representatives from the Alabama Department of Transportation met last week to discuss how to use funding for upcoming projects, including a $23 million plan to improve the intersection of Alabama Highway 69 and U.S. Highway 278.
State Rep. Randall Shedd said the reason for the meeting on Friday was to gather input from senators and representatives about the completion of road projects, including the completion of the four-lane project of Highway 278 to Blount County, which began under former Gov. Guy Hunt.
