Appreciation Lunch for Law Enforcement, Firefighters and First Responders
A WAY OF SAYING THANKS:
Representative Will Ainsworth and District Attorney Steve Marshall are joining together to host a cookout to express appreciation to law enforcement, firefighters and first responders across the county. All members of these groups are invited to have lunch at Civitan Park in Guntersville on Wednesday, November 16th at 11:30.
HBT Smokers will be grilling hotdogs and hamburgers and Crawmama’s will be furnishing the sides. There will be music and doorprizes.
Rep. Ainsworth said that over the last year or so he had observed the disturbing increase in violence toward police officers. “These men and women, together with our firefighters and first responders deserve our deepest appreciation for the risks they willingly take in order to keep us and our citizens safe. I appreciate them and the work they do and the spirit in which they serve,” he said.
Marshall County District Attorney Steve Marshall says, “This event is a way to say thank you to those who serve us that rarely hear those words and show appreciation for the hard work of those who protect this community every day.”
All members of any law enforcement group, reserve officers, city fire departments, volunteer firefighters, rescue squad members and emergency personnel are invited to attend.
