Rich Named Assistant Majority Whip
District 26 State Representative Kerry Rich has been named Assistant Majority Whip in the Alabama House of Representatives. Rich was named to the position by Representative Mickey Hammon of Decatur, the Majority (Republican) Leader in the House. Representative Randy Davis of Mobile was named Majority Whip.
The position of Whip is to assist the majority leader in canvassing members and counting votes on issues that come before the House, as well as assisting the Leader on other matters as well. Rich said, “ I appreciate the confidence leader Hammon has placed in me.
